Anna Marie Gutierrez, owner and founder of www.deviouswigs.com, wanted to see what she looked like in short blonde hair so she went to a wig shop to try on a new style. Instead of having a fun, great experience, she was surprised at how poorly she was treated in the shop. Then she began to wonder what happens to women who need wigs because of hair loss. As a result, in January of 1998 she began Devious Wigs as a home party business. After realizing the wide spread need for her products, her first website when live in 2001. "I had a professionally-designed website that was okay, but I eventually outgrew it," she says. Gutierrez decided to try her hand at web design and created a larger website for herself. "The day I went live with the website I designed, my business cut in half," she explains.

This installment of tech-corner is all about publishing with FrontPage. As with any HTML editor, all the files for your web site need to be published to your public_html folder. The main difference with FrontPage is that you need to make sure that the FrontPage extensions have been installed for your account.  You will also need to make sure that your domain is fully propagated and pointing to your hosting account.  You can install the extensions by logging into your vDeck and clicking on “Settings” and then “FrontPage”. This will allow you to enter a password for publishing with FrontPage. You can view a tutorial on how to publish with FrontPage by going to http://www.startlogichelp.com/index.php?id=23 and choosing the version of FrontPage that you use.  When you publish, FrontPage will attempt to make sure that all the files in the publish destination are the same as the ones in the FrontPage web files. Please be aware that you do not want to delete any files that start with a period (.), the public_html, or public_ftp files, these are needed for your account to continue to work correctly.
